How we relate to each other is complex and varied. Inferences are filtered through a myriad of biases: personal, cultural, and contextual. Each filter redirects the message in such a way that alters our interpretation of the signal. There is a determination for clarity, for communication to be distilled down to a simple duality. Yet the intent and interpretation is never resolute, it is always shifting. It is this relationship and the exploration of it through materiality that intrigues me most.
